5th Convocation- November 26, 2011
The 5th Convocation of LNM IIT, Jaipur to award Degrees and Medals, is scheduled to be held on November 26, 2011 (Saturday) at 11:00 AM at the institute Multi-Purpose Hall. Padma Bhushan Prof. Andre Béteille, National professor, will be the Chief Guest on this occasion. Invitation to degree recipients are being sent separately.

Dress Code: GOWN & CAP
The Gown and cap will be issued to candidates at 2 PM on 25th November 2011 in the Registrar’s Office. A candidate has to make refundable cash deposit of Rs 500/-as the security money for Gown and Cap.

Three students from LNMIIT will work at CERN for six months, from June 01, on computing projects. CERN, the Centre for European Nuclear
Research is the worlds largest laboratory for particle physics. CERN is
also known for the world wide web (http://www.cern.ch).

Professor from Netherlands invites LNMIIT students for internship

Three students from LNMIIT, Manohar Kuse, Kumar Harsh and Bhavya
Agarwal are spending three months in Netherlands. They are working on a
project titled "Accelerated Analysis of Very Large Medical Datasets"
under the supervision of Prof. Hon. Michel Bruynooghe in Netherlands.
This invitation was extended based on a publication of Manohar Kuse at
the International conference on pattern recognition, 2010.

LNMIIT students excel at CERN, Geneva

Two students from LNMIIT, Subho Banerjee and Johny Jose have successfully completed their six month internship at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), Geneva. Their success is demonstrated by the publications titled "Securing the AliEn file system - enforcing authorization with accoun transactions", "Enhancing the AliEn Web Service Authentication", "A New Format for Handling Nuclear Data"published as the outcome of this internship. They were guided by Federico Carminati, Latchezar Betev, Ajit Kumar Mohanty, Pablo Saiz of the ALICE
Offline Group of the ALICE Experiment at the Light Hadron Collider in CERN.

LNMIIT team wins PR in HIMA contest at the 20th International Conference on Pattern Recognition

A team from LNMIIT comprising of undergraduate students Manohar Kuse and Tanuj Sharma led by faculty Mr Sudhir Gupta have won Pattern Recognition in Histology Images (PR in HIMA) contest held during 20th International Conference on Pattern Recognition, Istanbul, Turkey between 21st August and 26th August, 2010.
Related publication will be published in the upcoming Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). Manohar Kuse also received a travel grant from Microsoft Research, India to present his work in Istanbul.
