After a career spanning 31 years with the ICICI Group, Ambikapratap Singh decided in 2003 to settle down in his childhood city of Jaipur. His career had several assignments, mostly in the international activities of ICICI Ltd., the parent company of the Group (which was merged with ICICI Bank in March 2002) and on deputation for two years with the software arm, ICICI Infotech Ltd. (now known as 3i-Infotech Ltd.)
He has been a keen sportsman and is particularly interested in cricket,
tennis, football and golf. He enjoys listening to Indian classical
music and reading non-fiction. He has travelled extensively and enjoys
cross-cultural interactions. He can speak, read and write English,
Hindi and Gujarati. He was born in 1950, lived in Mumbai since 1970,
and moved to Jaipur in 2003 with his wife and two daughters.
