Regular Faculty
Regular faculty is expected to be involved in teaching at graduate and undergraduate
levels, set up laboratories and experiments, carry out R&D, seek funding for applied
research from external sources and, in general, help building the Institute. The
Institute is committed to provide opportunities for professional growth of its faculty
and provides very attractive cost-to company compensation package (comparable/better
than IIT compensation). Candidates for senior level faculty positions should have
a doctorate degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, telecommunication engineering,
computer science and engineering, or related fields with proven capabilities. Candidates
having a master's degree in engineering may be considered for faculty position in
exceptional cases. Candidates in Physics, Mathematics and Humanities should have
a Doctorate degree.

philosophy and building the Institute, together with details of their research/professional
experience. They should arrange to have three letters of recommendations sent to

Positions Open
1. Distinguished Professors
The persons to be appointed as Distinguished Professors, by and large, would have
served in an IIT, IISc, TIFR, or other top institutes in India and abroad. Distinguished
Professors will be appointed only by invitation
2. Professors
Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate
discipline with a very good academic record throughout, and 12 years teaching/ research/
industrial experience, of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Associate
Professors. Number of years of experience can be relaxed for outstanding candidates.
3. Associate Professors
Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate
branch with a very good academic record throughout, and 8 years teaching/ research/
industrial experience. Teaching experience for people from industry would be desirable.
Number of years of experience can be relaxed for outstanding candidates.
4. Assistant Professors
Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate
branch with a very good academic record throughout, and 3 years teaching/ research/
industrial experience. Number of years of experience can be relaxed for outstanding
candidates.
5. Lecturer
Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate
branch with a very good academic record throughout. M. Tech. with very good academic
records also eligible.
6. LNM Scholars
LNM Scholars are second-tier of the academic backbone of the Institute, after the
faculty. they participate in academic activities, alongside the faculty.For details

Compensation and Perks
The Institute follows a Cost-to-Institute (CTI) structure to the compensation paid
to all its employees, including faculty members. The minimum compensation package
for Lecturers is Rs. 6.0 lakhs, for Assistant Professors, Rs. 8.5 lakhs, for Associate
Professors, Rs. 11.0 lakhs, for Professors, Rs. 13.0 lakhs, and for Distinguished
Professors, Rs. 13.5 lakhs. The package could be higher based on experience, academic
and research record, area of expertise, etc. Besides, a faculty member is offered
a suitable accommodation on campus. In case, no suitable accommodation is available
on campus, an additional 15% compensation is paid towards partial support for house
rent and transport expenses.
The Institute provides a liberal research support to all its faculty. Each faculty
member is entitled to a professional development budget of Rs. 2 lakhs per year.
Besides, for each international conference (outside India), 50% of the cost of attending
the same would be extra (that is not considered part of Rs. 2 lakhs).
